Let's Rock and Roll

Monday, August 31st, 2009

WEDLOCK OR DEADLOCK is starting to air in Dallas and re-running in Phoenix Memphis Tampa and New York. If you know people in these cities send them an email. Especially Dallas. (1:00 pm on KDFW) Tell them to watch.

Wedlock got a great ending number for it's first run. I'm into holding the momentum.

On a personal note, I have a tennis game this morning (hopefully) have had a lot of cancellations of late. Keeping my fingers crossed.

More worrisome however is that I got bored while waiting for one of my sons at a lesson I took him to so I went next door and got a full set of nails. Hoping it doesn't mess with my tennis grip. I'm telling you – me and spare time just don't mix.

Other than playing tennis today I have two other big goals:1) NOT going to the grocery store. Have been there 5 out of the lat 6 days. Not all my fault though since 14 brought his crew through my kitchen twice and they are like little Hoover vacuums!

Goal 2) I am in the middle of 7 books. I am going to finish one today. Just because that's a little silly.

I'm looking to rock and roll today people. You do the same!

Peace and progress.

I called my mother two days in a row now. I feel much better. I shouldn't stress too much apparently since based on or telephone conversation she has a more active social life than I do. You go, Mom!

My 5:30 am tennis game got cancelled. But I am trying to hook up a replacement game.

Working on my mini book tour. I'll let you know the details when I do.

I want to thank Ravis for your Amazon review. First one we've gotten on the new book. Those reviews matter.

Floating a little to day. Don't have my engines on. I suppose I'll see where the current takes me for a while.

You guys have a peaceful and productive day.

Rollin'

Thursday, August 27th, 2009

Played tennis this morning. About to run errands. I'm rolling this morning. I would tell you what went on at Casa Toler yesterday but am not at all sure I remember.

My mind is on fast forward. Not looking to find pause and most certainly not trying to rewind.

Still painting. It's calming. I suck at it but I'm happy. Something new to learn; another molehill to climb. I plan my artistic abilities to go from "Oh my goodness who spilled all that paint on that canvass?" to "I see where she was going with that. . . didn't get there. . . but I see the direction."

I think it is apt that I live in Phoenix. I feel as if I am continually rising from the ashes of my on issues. Gotta love it.

Peace. Progress.

Sideways

A whole lot of stuff went wrong last night. I won't go into most of it. But I will say that somebody got on my patch of land after 6 years of him screwing around with me and me working around him. Last night, I lit him up. I hate having to go there but he earned it in a big way. I even tried to let him off the hook. First conversation I said nothing. He kept saying "Lynn are you there?" I kept saying yes. Then finally he said well what do you have to say and I said "No." I was angry and I knew it. I try not to talk when I'm like that. Then I told him good-bye, I'll talk to you later.

His mistake was he called me back ten minutes later and left some condescending message on my phone. That phone call got returned.

So I am trying to regain my composure this morning. I am going to work out. Did have a tennis game scheduled but it got cancelled last night. But I am going to lift weights and run.

Haven't called mom in three days. Feel like the lowest thing on earth. Hate to called her when I am all jazzed up. She upsets easily. But I am going to have to work it today and call her. And I "don't bring mom no bad news!" She's earned as much calm and happy as I can give her. So I will deliver.

Joke time. I heard this one on Southwest Airlines:

A man comes in and robs a bank. During the robbery his mask falls off. So he turns to one of the people in the bank and asks:

"Did you see me rob this bank?"
The guys says 'yes' and the robber shoots him. Then the bank robber turns to the next customer and asks:
"Did you see me rob this bank?"
The guy, having seen what just happened said, "No I did not. But I am quite sure my wife did."

Peace.
